What to watch for in the machinery & equipment sector
Whether an EAC Certificate or another conformity assessment method is required is determined product by product. In particular, the scope of the relevant technical regulation must be checked for machinery, equipment, electrical products, certain automotive products, pressure equipment and various industrial products.
When exporting machinery or industrial equipment from Türkiye to Kazakhstan, having only the commercial invoice or the product catalogue may not be sufficient. Depending on the technical regulation the product falls under, documents such as the technical passport, technical specification, operation and maintenance manual, technical drawings, risk assessment and test reports may be required.
It cannot be said that every industrial product is automatically subject to the GGTN permit. First, it must be assessed whether the product is a hazardous technical device, where it will be used and which technical regulations apply.
In Ukraine, procedures such as the relevant technical regulation, risk assessment, technical file, tests and a declaration/certificate of conformity may come up for machinery, equipment and industrial products.
